The fishing for big Golden Dorado and Surubi catfish is among the best in South America. The Dorado here can reach 35lbs and the Surubi catfish can exceed 100lbs. We focus our fishing on the mighty Parana River. We fish mainly out of the little charming town of Ayolas. Sept-OCT is prime time here. The fishing can be absolutely on fire during this time. The Surubi congregate during this time to spawn. One of the best methods is to troll big deep-water plugs. Other species such as Pacu,and are also available. There are direct flights to Asuncion, the capital. Form here you will be taken by van to the fishing destination. The daily rate for fishing is $400 daily and includes everything: license, guide, boat, baits, food, drinks and lodging.

    My name is Joe Martinez. I am the founder of and president of J&J Outfitters. A little about myself. I was an outdoorsman from a very young age with a strong love of the wilderness. After graduation from College I served in the military as an Airborne Infantryman and a Special Forces Soldier (Green Beret). My military service has taken me to all corners of the world and in places where we sell hunting and fishing trips today. I especially have extensive experience traveling into Latin America and I am a fluent Spanish speaker. I am also an accomplished Taxidermist.
